Size: 4ft 6in x 3ft 11in (137 x 118cm).

Antique Tekke Turkmen rug of very fine weave and small square size.

Circa 1900.

These rugs are considered to be ‘dowry’ weavings used by the Turkmen bride on her wedding day.

This example has 3 rows of 6 Tekke guls, the borders and elems are very well drawn.

The rug has very fine soft wool with excellent colour.

The rug is in excellent condition with very slight wear and good pile.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
