Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The interior has two small drawers and several pigeon holes. There is a central drawer over a knee hole and the left hand pedestal has a pull out writing slide above four lovely oak lined drawers with the original handles, whilst the right hand pedestal also has a writing slide above two over one deep drawer again with the original handles. This wonderful antique stands on a plain plinth and has panelled sides, with beautiful panelled back which means this amazing desk could be placed anywhere in the room, it also splits into several sections for easy removal. The oak has aged to a lovely warm golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing
