The top of the table has features a good quality green and gold tool leather, which is surrounded by figured mahogany top. The edge of the desktop is finished with thumb moulding edge. Below, sits two working hand dovetailed drawers, which have been constructed from mahogany drawer linings (this is a sign of quality). The drawers feature the original turned mahogany knobs. The table sits on four pretty tapering fluted legs, which terminate in a baluster turning, and the original brass cups and brass castors. This is a truly classic design from the William IV / early Victorian period. All in all, this is a very pretty and super quality-writing table.

This table features a rich red / brown mahogany colour. It has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

Condition Report:
The table and leather are both in excellent condition. Importantly, there is no damage, stains, rips or marks to the leather. The polish to the mahogany is in excellent condition. There are no splits to the to the leather or frame and the legs are free of any breaks. The table features the original-working drawers (which close flush to the frame), the original turned drawer knobs and original brass castors & brass cups. The table stands firm on the ground; it does not wobble. Free of woodworm, solid in joint and ready to use.
