The desk boasts a dark sage green & gold tool leather surrounded a by a rounded thumb moulded edge top. Below, there are 9 large working drawers to one side. The cock-beaded drawers have the original brass key escutcheons and later turned mahogany knobs. All drawers and cupboard doors feature working locks and keys. To the back of the desk, there are a further three working drawers and below, there are two large working cupboards with hinged doors. One of the cupboards has a shelf and the other has vertical dividers. These cupboards make ideal storage compartments. Each drawer and cupboard door features lovely quality thumb moulded fronts. All drawers are constructed with solid mahogany drawer linings, which have been hand-dovetailed (a sign of good quality). Below, the pedestals feature traditional Victorian square corner plinths. The desk is freestanding which means it can be situated in the centre of the room. The pedestals can be rotated to either have all drawers on one side or alternate each side so that you have one cupboard and a set of drawers each side. The desk can be dismantled into three sections for easy transport. As this is such a large desk, it means there is significant storage space available.

Condition Report:
This desk is in excellent condition. There are nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the desk but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The green leather is in excellent condition with no marks, damage or stains. All drawers and cupboards in the desk features working locks and keys. Free of woodworm, solid in joint; the desk does not wobble and is ready to use.
