Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1900s.
It has a rectangular moulded top with rounded corners and original tooled writing insert. A central mahogany lined drawer can be found over the knee hole which is flanked by two pedestals each containing four graduating mahogany lined drawers with original decorative brass handles. The pedestals sit on plain plinths with castors and the back of the desk is finished so maybe placed in the centre of a room if so desired. It splits into three sections, aiding removal and has aged to a medium dark shade of mahogany with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
