Dating from around 1890 this antique Victorian dickens desk is made from walnut.
It also benefits from a central sloping section which lifts to reveal an interior with storage space, two birch drawers and five pigeon holes. Above the knee hole is a faux drawer front and each pedestal has four graduating drawers with original handles, key and working locks (except for one). The antique desk has reeded sides, stands on small turned feet with brown porcelain castors. It splits into three sections for ease of removal and is a medium dark walnut with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
