Merchant House Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
This desk is french and dates from around the 1900.s it stands on substantial cabriole legs and has ormolu mounts and a pierced gallery on the top. The back is veneered in rosewood but is not inlaid.
The desk is in fine condition and as original as can can be found. It still retains a mellow antique patina and we have simply waxed and polished it.
