Table Victorian Period Fine French Bureau Plat Figured Walnut and Ormolu C1870

Here we have a fine quality French Napoleon III/Victorian period figured Walnut Bureau plat c1870. As you can see this piece has super colour and patina. There is a fine quality Ormolu brass galleried rail to the top with delicate piercings. The top itself has stunning colour and figured grain. There are two beautifully executed marquetry panels in the Sorrento style and Tulipwood cross banding to the edge. Below there is an Ormolu moulding around the outside edge and a single drawer with lovely Mahogany linings and original mount. There are typical and beautifully shaped cabriole legs with very well cast ormolu mounts on the knees. The striking and desirable kidney shape has a superbly finished back and sides allowing the table to stand anywhere in the room. A very high quality table in super retail condition of excellent proportions ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 41 inches wide 19 deep and 28 high.
