Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1870s.
It has a rectangular moulded top with rounded corners and black tooled leather writing surface. Below the top can be found two mahogany lined drawers with oval decorative brass handles. The table stands on four beautifully turned reeded legs which are finished with brass and white porcelain castors. The oak has aged to a lovely golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
