Victorian Walnut Antique Twin Pedestal Desk

This antique twin pedestal desk is made from walnut and dates from the Victorian period, circa 1890. It has a rectangular moulded top with tooled leather writing insert above a central drawer over knee hole. Each pedestal has four graduating drawers with brass handles and the side are attractively reeded. The desk stands on a plain plinth with castors and has a finished back so maybe placed in the centre of a room if so desired. It splits into three sections to aid removal and is full of the charm and character of a true antique piece. The walnut is a medium dark shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
