Antique pair of heybe (saddle bags) from Western Anatolia (Turkey). Probably from Balikesir in the Bergama Region.

Circa 1900.

The design and colours are outstanding. The bags have wonderful striped backs.

The bags are in excellent condition with signs of use and a few old field repairs.

The bags are a little grubby and would benefit from a good wash.
