Size: 10ft 2in x 6ft 7in (310 x 200cm).

Old Turkish Sharkoy kilim, with a striped design; bands of soft colours on an ivory ground.

About 60 years old.

The colours are very pastel throughout.

Sharkoy kilims are also known as Sarkoy or Thracian, they originate from Western Turkey or the region known as European Turkey or The Balkans.

The weave is very tight and fine, the design is typical of the region, note the very unusual and striking border.

The kilim is in excellent condition with very slight wear.

The kilim is suitable for normal domestic use.

The kilim has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
