A really charming slipware decorated earthenware plate. The plate is taken up with a lions face with a great all encompassing curly mane. The whole is in great condition and the unglazed back shows wear in all the right places. A difficult thing to exactly date but certainly in the range of late eighteenth century or early nineteenth century.
