The drawers feature the wooden divider compartments. To the back of the desk, there are a further three working drawers and further below, there are two large working cupboards with hinged doors, each having a shelf. These cupboards make ideal storage compartments. Each drawer and cupboard door features lovely quality thumb moulded fronts. All drawers are constructed with solid mahogany drawer linings, which have been hand-dovetailed (sign of good quality). Below, the pedestals feature traditional Victorian rounded corner plinths. The desk is freestanding which means it can be situated in the centre of the room. The pedestals can be rotated to either have all drawers on one side or alternate each side so that you have one cupboard and a set of drawers each side. The desk can be dismantled into three sections for easy transport. As this is such a large desk, it means there is significant storage space available.
