The interior of the top half contains several pigeon holes and two small drawers while the base comprises of two pedestals, each having four drawers fronted by the original shaped oak handles in the Arts & Crafts style. The desk stands on a plain plinth with castors and benefits from a later central back support providing added stability. The desk has been well used and as such is full of charm, character and personality! It is a warm light shade of oak with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
