With wonderful figured Walnut, having feather cross-banding to the quarter panelled veneered top. Having ovolo mouldings to the drawer fronts, with a feather banded frieze.
Having developed a wonderful rich warmth and colour to the wood.

The desk has a long drawer to the top with small shaped drawer directly under, with six small drawers flanking a very charming central cupboard door, with an arched feather cross-banded frieze.
All drawers are oak-lined.

With elegant brass original handles, all locks and escutcheons are present, no key.
Standing on bracket feet.
The condition overall is very good, with general expected signs of use, commensurate with age. Minor small historical repairs to the veneers, shrinkage to the top which has been historically and expertly filled. All very expected signs of age and use for an antique of this age.

Very solid sturdy and strong.
