This quality antique oak pedestal desk dates from the Victorian period, circa 1890.
Each pedestal has four graduating mahogany lined drawers with lovely detailed original brass handles and moulded edges. The drawer fronts are framed with reeded sides and the back is finished so maybe placed on view. The desk stands on a plain plinth with castors and can be split into three sections easing transportation. It is a very desirable warm medium shade of oak with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
