Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1890s.
It has a rectangular moulded top above a pull out writing slide with green baize writing surface. Below this can be found two drawers with their original brass handles in a wonderful Arts & Crafts design. The table stands on four turned legs and is a beautiful warm medium shade of walnut. The table has some very minor old repairs but nothing that detracts from this otherwise very clean and tidy piece of Victorian splendour. It has a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
