Description

Large mahogany pedestal desk in beautiful condition, having been well maintained by its previous owners. This desk is english and dates to about c 1850.

The figured mahogany with its mellow antique patination is exceptional. The antique hide writing surface is an ancient addition with all its' small blemishes and wear and looks terrific with the rich mahogany.

There are nine deep and smoothly running drawers with original wooden handles, clean paper lined interiors and fitted with three working keys. This desk is in three parts, has a veneered back and a large sized knee hole area.

We have put this desk through our workshop and with mild restoration and a wax polish, now present it in top showroom condition.
