Antique Maple and Co Inlaid Serpentine Fronted Mahogany Desk Circa 1880

Description

This desk is of the highest quality with all its original silver plated (on solid brass) handles. There is a gallery to the top sections (silver plated) and the drawer has its original silver topped cut glass ink bottles. It is on its eight original castors and has the Maple and Co stamp to the central drawer. The whole desk is generously inlaid with scrolling foliate pattern to the top and good quality stringing to the sides as demonstrated in the photographs. This desk has its original leather in excellent condition. It is showing signs of wear but has a fabulous mellow patina.
