Description

A superb large Regency cast iron, polished cast iron and brass serpentine fronted fire basket. With a square fireback decorated with fruit and floral swags, the three front bars flanked by brass panels and scrolling uprights and fronted by a serpentine polished cast iron and pierced brass apron, supported on a pair of tall brass fluted and wrythen twist baluster andirons. In excellent condition and with original fire bricks which do have cracks due to their age.
