A Magnificent Regency Pedestal Desk in the Manner of 'Thomas Hope'

Description

This superb Regency desk has a fitted natural coloured real hide leather inset with exceptional gold and blind embosed tooling.

The top is supported by two stylish pedestals that have eight mahogany lined drawers of which either side are Pharoahrian Brass Mounts on tapered columns with brass feet. The back of the desk has simulated drawer fronts that are identical in appearance to the front façade.

A rare opportunity to own a very decorative and functional piece of fine furniture from the stylish regency period.
