Finest Quality Edwardian Mahogany Cylinder Desk "Maple & Co"

Description

We are delighted to offer for sale this superb quality Edwardian inlaid mahogany cylinder desk made around the turn of the 19th century by leading manufacturers Maple & Co ,this great desk stands on four tapered legs united by a delightful swept understretcher , the gorgeous figured mahogany fall sits above a single stamped drawewr,above which houses a pull out writing surface which is leather inset and complete with original period inkwells , above the slide is a combination of satinwood ebony lined drawers with gilt handles together with a central filling section ,the flame mahogany top is surrounded by a gilt metal gallery above a further pair of crossbanded drawers,it is polished and inlaid on all sides so could sit room central or against the wall.

The condition and quality are as good as you could ever wish for , it is gorgeous and would be the pride of its prospective new owners room.
