Desk Victorian Rosewood Twin Pedestal Desk Fully Finished Back C1880

Here we have an exceptional quality Victorian Rosewood desk c1880. As you can see this desk has beautiful colour and patina. This very high quality desk is made from Rosewood which as you can imagine was very expensive at the time of making. No expense was spared in the construction of this desk either. The top has a gilded and tooled leather skiver. The edge is cross banded in Rosewood which leads to a delicious moulded edge. The front and back of this desk look exactly the same with faux drawers and cupboards to the rear. The drawers have chamfered and stepped fronts with original brassware. This can also be seen on the lockable cupboard doors. The sides of the top also have the same cut with larger panels to the sides of the pedestal bases. The desk sits on original casters with a moulded plinth base above. I have never seen a desk before finished in sumptious Rosewood it truly is stunning. The desk is in super retail condition and ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 44 inches wide 24 deep and 29.5 high. Kneehole 23 high 18.5 wide.
