Desk Victorian Carved Oak Lion Mask Detail C1880

Here we have a fine quality Victorian carved oak desk c1880. As you can see the desk has wonderful colour and patina. There is a top section which lifts off. This has an arrangement of five Oak lined drawers four of which have exquisitely carved scroll work detail and original turned handles. The centre drawer having scroll work and a Lion mask handle. The top has carved side pillars and a gadrooned edge which is also replicated on the top of the lower section. There is a tooled and gilded leather skiver to the top. The drawer configuration is replicated to the lower section with the addition of two lockable drawers. There are carved side pillars and carved side panels. The undertier is beautiful with superbly executed barley twist legs with carved block detail. An exceptional desk of the highest quality in fantastic retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 55 inches wide 41 high to the top 30 deep and 30 high to the leather.
