The top of the desk features an elegant oak cross-banded edge with a pretty shaped moulded edge. The drawers on the front of the desk boast carved fretwork fronts and retain the original brass handles. There is a pretty shaped frieze below the central drawer. The whole of the desk features a shaped serpentine frame. The sides and back of the desk feature inset panels. The oak lined drawers feature a hand-dovetailed construction. The desk sits on elegant cabriole legs. The desk was designed to be freestanding in the middle of the room; this is why there is decorative detail on the sides and back of the desk. This is a single piece desk and does not dismantle.

Condition Report:
The desk is in excellent condition. There are no large marks, stains or scratches to the top of the desk; only nominal marks to the leading edges. There is no missing handles or any damage to the frame or legs. The drawer bottoms and linings are constructed of solid oak. Free of worm-worm, solid in joint and ready to use.
