Here is an example of a fantastic quality antique oak carved French 3rd Empire desk, circa 1920 – 1930 originating from France. The top of the desk features an elegant oak cross-banded edge with a pretty shaped moulded edge. The drawers on the front of the desk boast carved fretwork fronts and retain the original brass handles. There is a pretty shaped frieze below the central drawer. The whole of the desk features a shaped serpentine frame. The sides and back of the desk feature inset panels. The oak lined drawers feature a hand-dovetailed construction.
