Anglo Indian Carved Writing Desk

A late 19thc teak Anglo Indian writing desk with excellent profuse carving, of good patina (colour).

This desk consists of a pediment shaped back rail with a blind relief carved scroll foliage decoration.

It has a fall front, again with the carved foliage design, surrounding the writing slope.

On the edge of this slope is a moulding which has carved decoration. This slope lifts up to reveal a fitted interior of a drawer & shelves.

The front & side panels again are profusely carved with scroll foliage decoration.

The front cabriole legs are also covered in foliage carving & terminate in a scoll foot with a carved peacock.

The back legs are of square shape & also carved with the same scroll foliage deisgn.

This piece is of sound construction & can go straight into a property.
