Edwardian Carved Mahogany Davenport Desk

1900 - 1920
Description

Unusual Edwardian period mahogany Davenport desk.

Having carved and pierced upstand back with lift up lid revealing pencil tray, glass ink bottle, and stationary storage.

Later covered writing surface, on lift up fall. Opening to reveal storage space within. Locking key to fall.

Lower twin outer opening drawers with original metal handles. Dummy drawer fronts to opposite side. Locking key to side drawers.

Pierced carved side decoration to back and front. Raised on shaped legs with castor feet. Rear of desk having useful shelf or book rack.

This lovely small desk has it's original polish finish and is in nice condition. Circa 1900
