Here is an example of a superb quality antique Victorian large light oak partner’s desk, circa 1860 - 1880. The desk boasts the original wooden knobs. The top of the desk features a moulded edge with soft round corners. The top features a single piece brown and gold tool leather. The four graduated double cock-beaded drawers in each pedestal on both have working original locks and key by “Hobbs & Co.” The desk boasts two fielded panel doors to one side with internal shelves. The drawer lining and top are constructed of the best quality mahogany. The desk dismantles into three sections for easy storage or transportation.

Condition Report:
The leather and desk is in very good condition. Free of worm-worm, solid in joint and ready to use. There are no marks or damage to the leather. It features the original working locks and a key. Please remember that this item is over 150 years old so there will always be some minor wear.

Provenance:
This desk was originally made for a mill owner in Manchester out of Lancashire oak. Interestingly, it was purchased by us 30 years ago and sold on. We have now purchased it back as the present owner relocating to a new property.

The buyer is required to cover the cost of return transit – the collection cost is the same as the delivery cost. You will be given a refund (excluding the delivery and collection cost) as long as the item is returned in the same condition.
