Victorian Walnut Davenport

19th century
Description

A beautiful, untouched walnut davenport made around 1860.

This freestanding davenport has a lift up pen and ink compartment and the rising fall shows a bank of four letter drawers.

The outer door opens to expose a bank of drawers .

The original tooled leather is damaged in the front (as seen in the picture). It would be a shame to replace this leather but however should the buyer wish to have this replaced in a colour of their choice, the cost will be £70.

The side locks are all working. The whole piece is strong and sound and definitely no sign of woodworm.
