Castleforge Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1900s.
To either side are two letter racks with shaped lids which have chevron inlay to the edges and are inlaid to the centre with a lovely Faince design. It has a moulded edge to the desk top with original leather skiver and above a central drawer with two drawers to each pedastal. All the drawers are mahogany lined and have original silver plated handles to the serpentine shaped fronts. Each drawer is beautifully inlaid and it stands on carved cabriole legs on castors joined by a shaped X frame stretcher.

In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the quality mahogany oozing all the charm and character of the period.
