Description

Antique English pewter 9.75 inch diameter plain rim plate, by John Home of Snow Hill, London.

The plate has a good set of touch marks for John Home and his ‘London Superfine’ label to the reverse. There is also a marriage triad ‘RWS’.

The plate is in good condition with a polished silver grey finish to the face, with some oxide spots; the reverse is covered with oxide flaking in places.

Circa 1760.
