Antique Victorian Art Nouveau Mahogany Twin Pedastal Kneehole Desk C1890 W6531/1.8

Description

Lovely antique victorian art nouveau mahogany twin pedastal desk and dating from aorund 1890. It has a leatherette writing surface to the top set within a mahogany surround with moulded edge and with a drawer to the centre of the kneehole which is mahogany lined with original brass handles and above a shaped frieze. To each pedastal there is a panelled door with the top fielded panel having a carved patera and swags and tails and both having an internal shelf and standing on a plinth base with reeded columns to the sides topped with carved acanthus leaf.

Does not separate and is in one piece measuring: 29.5" high X 21" deep X 48" wide knee height 23"

In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the mahogany oozing all the charm and character of the period.
