ActFurniture LTD has dated this Jacobean Style Oak Sideboard to the 1920s.
This is an independent date report produced by Sellingantiques using its own proprietary system. The process uses the photographs shown on this page. The system is never told the date the dealer has declared. This report shows that the two dates corroborate.
The drawer fronts are carved with scrolling lunettes and separated by pyramid-shaped blocks, beneath a moulded top with a carved edge. The doors have geometric moulded lozenge panels, flanked by applied split-turned pendants to the stiles, and the sideboard stands on sturdy stile feet.
The oak displays a lovely figured grain and a deep, rich dark colour with a pleasing aged patina.
Presented in good condition commensurate with age. Of neat, compact proportions, this is a very desirable carved oak sideboard, a perfect addition to any dining room, hallway or living room.
