The Charles X period (18241830) in France is defined by a transition from heavy Empire style to lighter, classical revival forms. Decorative objects from this era frequently features detailed bronze work, neoclassical motifs, and high-contrast marble accents.

Nineteenth-century French tazze were predominantly cast in bronze with patinated or gilt finishes. These metal bowls were frequently mounted on solid natural stone or marble bases, such as Siena marble, marble de Levanto, or Belgian black marble.

Authentic period pieces display hand-chased metal details, sharp moulding, and natural signs of wear such as subtle patina loss on high points. Construction methods typically include period thread screws, iron tie-rods underneath, and solid marble plinths rather than modern synthetic bases.

Bronze tazze serve as architectural accents on sideboards, mantelpieces, or large dining tables. Their dark metallic tones and yellow marble plinths create strong visual structure when styled alongside minimalist ceramics or modern artwork.

Dust bronze surfaces regularly with a soft dry cloth and avoid chemical metal polishes, which strip historical patination. Clean Siena marble bases using a dampened cloth with pH-neutral water, avoiding acidic solutions that dissolve porous marble.
