This set of three miniature cast iron urns from 1930 displays a Neoclassical style with a dark patinated finish in charcoal. Each vessel has a campana shape with a fluted body, an egg and dart rim, and a square pedestal base. One urn shows a slightly darker painted finish compared to the other two, and all pieces exhibit surface wear and oxidation consistent with early twentieth-century ironwork. Every urn measures 18 cm high, 15 cm wide, and 15 cm deep. These compact decorative urns suit interior placement on a mantelpiece or within a sunlit conservatory. They function well as standalone display objects or as containers for indoor succulents. Both indoor and outdoor use are possible due to the sturdy cast iron construction.

Campana urns are bell-shaped decorative vessels inspired by Greco-Roman antiquity, widely cast in iron during the nineteenth century for architectural and interior display.

Traditional cast iron urns were created by pouring molten iron into sand moulds, producing heavy metal vessels with clear relief details such as fluting and egg-and-dart borders.

Authentic pieces feature visible mould seams from the casting process, surface oxidisation or patination, and considerable physical weight relative to resin or plastic alternatives.

Miniature urns can be arranged as decorative accent objects on a mantelpiece, styled within a bookcase, or used as small tabletop vessels in botanical arrangements.

Dust regularly with a dry cloth or soft bristle brush, and apply a thin layer of microcrystalline wax to preserve the iron surface and prevent active rust.
