Antique Edwardian Oak Cupboard | Raised Gallery

Antique 20th century Edwardian cupboard in oak, a lovely piece of traditional furniture with a pleasing balance of decorative detail and everyday usefulness.

Two cupboard doors form the lower section, each gently carved across the front and opening to a single shelf with plenty of room for keeping household items neatly stored away.

Sitting just above are two useful drawers with decorative brass handles, while a raised gallery finishes the top and gives the cupboard a nicely defined shape.

One of the real attractions of this piece is the oak itself, with gorgeous natural grain and a rich, warm colour that gives the cupboard plenty of character.

In good condition, durable, well made and of good quality, it is a piece designed to be genuinely useful rather than simply decorative.

Full of warmth without being overly elaborate, this is the kind of cupboard that can settle naturally into a home and look as though it has always belonged there.
