Untouched and Unrestored All Original Omega Seamaster Auto Bumper Mk1 from 1950

Description

This is an incredible all original example of a gents wristwatch made by the world renowned premier Swiss maker Omega.

The watch is the MK1 Omega Seamaster Automatic Bumper model reference 2577 first introduced in 1949

The movement is Omegas highly reliable calibre 351 fully automatic Bumper movement. An Omega "bumper" is a vintage Omega that has a "bumper" automatic movement rather than a full rotation rotor automatic. The oscillating weight makes a partial rotation before "bumping" into a cushioning spring. This is the earliest type of automatic movement.

The movement serial number indicates that this watch was made in early 1950 one of the very first Omega Seamasters.

Everything about this watch is original, the only things we have replaced are the glass, the mainspring and the back seal. The movement has just been fully serviced and is running to within original Omega specification.

The dial is in superb condition, with just a very fine even patina to give away its age it has not been retouched or restored in any way and is the best example of a MK1 original dial we have ever seen. The case has only been ultrasonically cleaned not polished so it is in exceptional original condition.

The watch case measures 34.5mm in diameter not including the crown.

The watch has been fully serviced and is guaranteed to be a genuine Omega in all respects. It comes with a 12 month warranty.
