Epstein Walnut Cabinet Louis XV Revival Inlay 1920

A superb Epstein walnut cabinet, crafted in the traditional French Louis XV style

We have included a close up photo of the makers mark and stamp which is on the inside of the door

Displaying the outstanding quality and craftsmanship for which the renowned London cabinet maker was famous

Circa 1920

Beautifully veneered in richly figured burr walnut with contrasting satinwood crossbanding, the pair of doors feature elegant floral marquetry oval panels that provide a refined decorative focal point

The shaped serpentine front is complemented by a striking pink variegated marble top, while finely cast gilt bronze mounts enrich the corners, apron, escutcheon and feet. Raised on graceful cabriole legs, the cabinet opens to reveal useful shelved storage, making it ideal as a drinks cabinet, side cabinet or hall cupboard

Combining luxurious materials with impeccable cabinet making, this is a handsome and highly versatile piece from one of Britain's most respected furniture manufacturers, equally at home in both traditional and contemporary interiors
