We are pleased to offer this finely carved mid nineteenth century Italian Grand Tour marble sculpture. A sleeping putto reclining upon a cushioned divan with draped fabric and tassel details.

Carved from Carrara marble, the sculpture captures the gentle naturalism characteristic of 19th-century Neoclassical taste. The child rests peacefully with one arm draped across a cushion, the relaxed pose and softly modelled features conveying a quiet sense of repose.
