Lovely fresh colours in original frame and mount, with interesting depictions of furniture

25.5cm x 18cm

(47cm x 39.5cm including frame)

Linton was associated with both the Aesthetic Movement and also on occassion painted in the Pre-Raphaelite style.

He was elected to The Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours in the year this work is dated.

One of his most famous paintings is 'Prince Leopold. Duke of Albany' commissioned by Queen Victoria in 1882 and exhibited st The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 1885.
