Early 20th Century Solid Honey Oak Dresser

1900 - 1920
Description

An early 20th-century solid honey oak dresser, inlaid with a checkerboard pattern throughout. The lower section has six drawers, while the upper section has two plate-rack shelves and two small cupboards.

Well suited to either a kitchen or dining room setting.

Condition Report

In good, solid condition. During photography I noticed a very slight lean backwards, although this is not noticeable in use and has not presented an issue when the dresser has been moved.

There are splits to each side of the lower section, along with a minor split to the top, caused by natural movement and shrinkage of the timber since manufacture. There are also two small holes to the backboard of the upper section, as shown in the photographs.

Otherwise, good, clean and usable antique condition.
