Curious Antiques has dated this Antique Tibetan Ceremonial Ewer to the 19th Century.
Most likely constructed from copper alloy it is in very good antique condition and the metal has taken on great colour following many years of use. The tea pot/ritual ewer is in traditional form and handcrafted from copper/brass. It has lovely intricate decoration featuring scrolling motifs , raised features and a great dragon handle and spout. The ritual of serving po cha (butter tea) is important in Buddhist ceremonies and these pieces are highly prized. Again it is in lovely antique condition commensurate with age and use.
