Manufactured by the renowned foundry Deville & Cie in Charleville, France, this model (D.P.F. 600) epitomizes the elegance of the era. It is finished in a beautifully patinated, pale Majolica blue enamel coat. Richly cast with a cascading motif of organic roses, climbing floral tendrils, and swirling foliage, this piece is a magnificent example of period ironwork. Today, these stoves are highly sought after by top interior designers as a focal accent piece or converted decorative installation.

Historical Provenance. The upper inner firebox lip features a crisp, beautifully cast maker's registry mark reading: “Deville & C, Charleville — 600 — 1D9”Founded originally in 1848 by Albert Deville and the Corneau brothers in the Ardennes region, the firm became known globally as Deville-Charleville in 1886, securing a legendary reputation for blending technical heating innovation with superior Art Nouveau artistic design.

Design & Features Aesthetics: Elegant, curvilinear frame highlighted by heavy floral-sculpted shoulders, a matching rose-crowned arched door, and a detailed botanical motif across the base ash lip. Functionality: Features a front main arched viewing door divided into a structural multi-pane lattice window, an operable bottom ventilation grate slider, and an intricate top-loading lid flap for fuel .

Condition Report Overall: Good antique condition, retaining exceptional structural integrity and massive decorative appeal. Enamel Finish: The rare pale blue Majolica enamel glaze has faded over time to a matte, chalky powder-blue finish, displaying a stunning, authentic aged patina with standard surface wear typical for cast iron of this era.
Interior : The heavy internal fuel grates and ash fence remain intact and perfectly useable. the modern heat-resistant mica can easily be replaced if required.
