Culvertons has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The solid mahogany top has remained in lovely condition after more than a century of use. If preferred, we can supply a removable leather writing surface, made to the highest standard, shaped to follow the desk’s profile and finished with baize on the underside. Unlike many early 20th-century Chippendale Revival desks, this piece was made using superior mahogany, especially evident in the impressive timber of the top. The desk offers generous working space and ample legroom, measuring 76 cm deep by 153 cm wide, with a kneehole of 65 cm high by 61.5 cm wide. It is a desk designed to be admired for generations.
