School House Antiques has dated this Dutch Walnut Marquetry Chest to the 18th Century.
The shaped top decorated with a classical urn and foliage executed in a rich variety of contrasting woods. The same intricate floral and foliate marquetry continues across the three long serpentine drawers, the sides, and the shaped apron.

Each drawer is fitted brass handles and central keyhole escutcheons. The chest stands on shaped bracket feet .
The chest retains a deep, warm, original mellowed patina . In lovely antique condition throughout commensurate with age and use. The marquetry remains intact , with only minor restorations and surface wear typical of fine antique furniture that has been enjoyed for over two centuries of use , the drawers run smoothly and the chest is structurally sound and ready to grace its new home .
