1940 - 1960
Description

This is a very fine and beautiful example of a ladies wristwatch made by the world renowned premier Swiss maker Omega.

It has a solid 9ct yellow gold case and is fitted to an extra long very heavy solid 9ct gold textured bracelet which simply glides around the wrist and really shines when you catch it in the light.

Mint throughout the watch looks almost unworn. The fold over double safety clasp is tight and secure.

The dial is in perfect as new condition and just stunning

It has the Omega logo on the winding crown and the clasp.

It has the highly reliable calibre 484 manual winding movement which has just been serviced and is running to within original Omega specification.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

During the 1960s, Swiss watchmakers such as Omega produced ladies dress watches that integrated precision mechanical movements directly into textured precious metal bracelets, blurring the boundary between horology and fine jewellery.

These timepieces were typically crafted using hallmarked 9ct or 18ct yellow gold for the case and woven bracelet, fitted with acrylic glass, metal indices, and a hand-wound mechanical movement.

Authentic pieces feature clear British or Swiss assay hallmarks on the interior case back or bracelet clasp, alongside the trademarked Omega logo printed on the dial and engraved on the winding crown.

A vintage gold bracelet watch functions as a standalone statement accessory that pairs seamlessly with modern tailored suits, silk blouses, or minimalist formal attire.

Mechanical timepieces should be stored in a dry environment inside a lined watch box, kept away from moisture and strong magnetic fields, and serviced by a professional horologist every three to five years.
