Antique Victorian Pine Kitchen Dresser

Description

A substantial Victorian pine kitchen dresser in a lovely light colour with an attractive grain. The dresser splits into two pieces, the rack having three fixed shelves with broad backboards and a row of hanging hooks to the front. The base features two drawers, each with a pair of turned wooden knobs, above two cupboards flanking a central open recess or 'dog kennel'. A good honest example offering generous storage and displaying plenty of country character.

CONDITION REPORT:

In antique condition with age-related wear throughout, including marks, stains and scratches consistent with use. Historic woodworm, treated as a precaution. Historic repair to the front left leg, as shown, which is structurally sound. The dresser has been stripped and recently re-finished in a fresh coat of natural wax. Overall a solid, sturdy and characterful piece.
