McTague of Harrogate has dated this St Ives Watercolour Painting to the 1930s.
Before World War I he moved to Newlyn, then lived in Penzance, St Ives and Helston and in his final year in Torquay, Devon. Showed at RA, Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool, elsewhere in the provinces and was included in "A Century of Art in Cornwall 1889–1989", Newlyn Orion Galleries, 1989. Brighton Corporation and St Ives Town Council hold his work.

The present picture "St. Ives from the Fields" is a charming old watercolour measuring 13"x 17". It is mounted and framed into an old oak frame giving an overall size of 20"x 24". It is signed lower right. A lovely old picture of St Ives in Cornwall.
