In such great condition and complete with the lovely original single piece brown inset leather writing surface to the top that has a Greek key designed tooled edge. The oak used has lovely medullary rays and it is all in the original finish. A superb size to work at, featuring nine drawers arranged around the ample kneehole opening which measures 61cm high x 61cm wide, all the drawers run well and have the original ebonised oak turned handles. To one of the top drawers, the Heals makers label is inset. Designed to be placed away from the wall if needed, as the back is well panelled and finished. A good early Heals example of an antique library / writing desk, has panelled sides and stands on square legs. Comes apart into three sections for moving.
